DIRECTOR?!

Hello there!

Welcome to my make-shift online portfolio. I hope you find what you're looking for.

When did this all start?
Well, I've always been actively associated with a camera. When I was little, I'd climb into trees and have my parents pose below. If my parents weren't accommodating, then my Barbie dolls were more than sufficient (and offered a lot less feedback as well).
In grade 10, the first opportunity to really study photography properly opened itself up to me. I enrolled in the class immediately, and began devoting myself to digital, and darkroom photography*. I continued studying photo until my graduation, and I even participated in Advanced Placement, Art. For Art AP, I complied a portfolio of 2D images with a written artist's statement (It was concerning bought beauty, and how the industry consumes limited incomes) and submitted it to the Collegeboard. In June, I received my mark back, which was a 4: Well Qualified*.
In grade 11, I was a student of Elgin Park Secondary's Humanities Co-op. One of my job placements was the London Drugs Photo department. From my two weeks experience there, I was offered a job from the 1 Hour Lab Manager. Until recently, I operated the 1 Hour Lab. Part of my duties were to process prints, edit enlargements in photoshop, do re-touches of old scans, and offer customer service when some images are underexposed or other factors interfere with producing a top quality print.
Currently, I am the Director of Photography for the BCIT Marketing Association. Part of my job description is to organize and direct promotional photo shoots for upcoming events, document the BCITMA's events, and offer creative approval for outgoing poster and other promotional designs.
